Chapter III: Splitting Friendships

Adam awoke in a green pature with purple flowers that surround him. He sat up and leaned on his two elbows, looking around he squinted the sun was setting and everything glowed with such glory and love from God. A tear rolled down his face, a tear of joy, astonishment and amazement. Mountains sat about a hundred miles away. A quiet stream ran through the green pasture. A fresh fragrance flew through the air, the fragrance was sweet and fresh. A forest lay to the east, filled with birds of all kinds. Butterflies flew by him, they fluttered and flew around playing. Eagles flew overhead. Adam slowly stood and looked around. His scars were gone, was he dead, was this a dream. Where was he. He stopped thinking and smiled in grief. Everything around him was pure, happy except him. He hurt on the inside he wanted to break free and enjoy what was around him. Birds chirped happily, deer in a nearby area ran around playing with one another. Then the grass began to sway swiftly. It looked like a whip. The setting sun was soon taken over by clouds that no one could see through. Adam felt a frightened sensation shoot through his body and straight to his heart. Horses ran away, the butterflies dropped dead in front of him. He bent down and picked them up he held them in his hand and looked up. He saw the clouds closing in fast. Then the earth began to shake violently. He fell to his knees and looked at his hand. Not knowing, he had crushed the two butterflies. He dropped them and slowly backed away. His hands were stained with blood. He wiped his hand on his pants it didn't come off. Then a lightning bolt shot down, it struck a few feet from him. He quickly stood and started running. Lightning shot down from the sky everywhere. Shaking the earth, setting the field on fire. Then the ground opened up in front of him. He stopped and looked down into the crevice. Molten magma flowed freely, a red glow brightened his face. Adam backed up and jumped across the gap. He hit the edge. He slipped - he fell backwards - he grabbed a small root and held on tightly. Then the earth shook again. He lost his grip and slipped a little more. His strength was failing, he was growing weak, he was going to let go. The root broke - he fell back. A hand grabbed his arm. He looked up to see Delian standing over the edge. She gave a slight smile and pulled him up over the edge. Delian and Adam fell to the ground as she lifted him over the edge. They both breath heavily.
"Let's go!" Steven yelled out as he ran towards the forest.
Adam looked up to the clouds, they began to part. The stars were falling. They hit the earth, making the ground shake and shooting dirt twenty feet into the air. They crashed down everywhere. The lightning still rumbled.
Delian stood and started running. Adam stood still and looked at the hand, the bloodstain was still there. He looked up as two blurs flew by him. Jarred and Beth were running as fast as they could. Adam looked back, Phantoms were coming. This beautiful image had turned into a nightmare. Adam started running, the other Phantom Hunters were making there way to the forest as well. Tai and Joey fell behind, a few Phantoms swooped down and picked them up and flew away. Adam yelled and cried out for them.

The Phantoms still came, now the Phantom Hunters were the hunted. It was the time for the Phantoms to start hunting. Adam turned and ran. He looked to his left and right, Alex and Chris were beside him. They all ran at the same speed. Alex tripped, Chris went back to help. Adam stopped and looked back. A Phantom flew down, it grabbed Chris by the torso and picked him up off the ground. Alex reached out to grab him. But he was too late, Adam turned to see Chris with an outstretched arm. His eyes were glazed, Adam's face crumpled into a sad expression and sighed sadly. Tears streamed down his face.
Then Alex yelled, Adam quickly turned to see Alex being lifted from the ground. He outstretched his arm and grasped Alex' hand. Then he slipped, he had grabbed Alex' hand with the hand in which he held the butterflies in. Adam fell the the ground and looked up as Alex flew away in the grasp of the Phantom. He felt a piercing gaze, he turned quickly to see three Phantoms floating in mid-air. They each stared at him, one was in a dark red cloak, the other in a dark green cloak and the last in a dark blue cloak. Each of them had their hoods on. Adam knew that the one in dark red was Jesse, but he was puzzled of who the others were.
Jesse pulled his hood off, he looked normal, he looked human. Then the other two pulled their hoods back. Adam stepped back a few steps, it was Cassie and Amanda.
"No..." Adam said under his breath sadly.
Then they turned, their skin went chap, their eyes went ruby red.
Adam turned and began to run again. Beth and Ben ran beside him, he sighed and stopped. He turned and faced a Phantom, Adam swung his fist. His fist went through the Phantom, another Phantom flew down and flew through him. Adam's breath was stolen, he fell back clutching his chest. Both Ben and Beth were taken.
Adam still gasped for air, nothing came into his lungs. He tried harder, still nothing. He looked to his left to see Steven and Dell, they were running to him. Adam watched helplessly as they were both lifted into the air.
Adam reached out and tried talking, nothing came out or went in. His chest started to hurt, it felt like it was about to burst. His heart was pounding harder than it had ever before. He lay on the ground trying to get some air into his lungs, trying to refresh himself. He started to see double, then it faded to black. The last thing he saw was the three Phantom Leaders landing beside him. He shut his eyes and saw a bright light...

(This is now in real life, still Adam)
Jarred ripped the wolfs head apart, it had bitten him in numerous places. His shoulder had been nearly ripped to pieces. He grasped the sword Adam had made for him, he aimed at the wolf laying on the ground. It breathed heavily and then howled as it died slowly. Jarred slowly backed away from the wolf, not turning his back. He slowly backed up, then he turned as he reached a safe distance. He felt Adam's presence near, he searched everywhere. He walked by a thorn bush and left the presence getting stronger. He ran around searching, he lifted a bush branch and saw Adam lying still, he looked like he wasn't breathing. Jarred rushed to Adam's side and set down his sword. He turned Adam over, a large cut ran down his face. It overlapped his left eye. Jarred sighed slowly and sadly as he overlooked Adam.
"Adam? Adam you okay?" Jarred asked slowly.
He tried shaking him, he didn't wake. He grabbed his wrist and checked for a pulse... nothing.
He shook him again, nothing. He didn't breath, no rise or fall of the chest, no nothing. Nothing showed that he was alive, no signs at all. Jarred leaned over Adam and began with a low sob, then it grew worst. He began to cry horribly, for his partner, his friend... his brother in Christ.

(This is in the dream now... Still Adam)
Adam walked closer and closer to the light, he was being drawn to it slowly. He couldn't stop, he wanted to stop and go back. The the light began to fade, it grew dimmer and dimmer by the second.
A loud voice said, "GO BACK, THEY STILL NEED YOU. THEY NEED YOUR HELP, ADAM."
Then Adam began to fall, he felt light. He began to shut his eyes. He began to sleep once again. He shut his eyes and breathed outwards.

(Back to real life... yes, this is still Adam)
Adam's chest rose high and fell back down. Jarred sat up and looked at Adam, he began to breath again. A slight smile ran across his face. Jarred wiped his eyes and sniffled slowly.
Adam tried sitting up...
(okay Jarred you can now lead-off)

(Jarred)

“Adam we have to get out of here.” Jarred said as he helped Adam up, Adam winced in pain as he stood up. Jarred put his arm around Adam’s shoulder and they walked as fast as they could away from the Phantoms. It was very dark and it started to rain, lightening filled the air followed by loud thundering. Adam could barely stand; Jarred looked around for a safe place to stop, even though really there were no safe places to hide from the Phantoms. Jarred and Adam leaned up against a tree for rest; Adam slumped to the ground exhausted. Jarred started chanting a spell, his voice grew louder and louder until he stopped and a opening in the ground started appearing; Jarred looked up to see Phantoms coming down on them. Jarred grabbed Adam and jumped in the hole that he had made, he quickly said, “Eni et almon él fi.” The opening in the earth closed just as the Phantom’s reached the ground. There was silence for a few minutes; Jarred and Adam couldn’t see anything, Jarred chanted another spell and a glow appeared in the middle of the room. Jarred had been thought a lot about the earth, fire, snow, rain and other things that God had created for his pleasure; Jarred knew many of natures spells. The room Jarred had made was about 6 feet tall and 6 feet long on all sides; Jarred looked over at Adam, he had almost gone unconscious again and his head was burning. The night went on with Jarred chanting many spells to make ointment and other things that might bring Adam back to normal. For one day Jarred tried to revive Adam back to help, it was 27 hours after Jarred had made the hole in the earth that Adam was completely healthy and strong again. “So Jarred I spent most of my studies on Phantoms and I don’t’ know very much of this kind of stuff, tell me what is your plan?” Jarred who was tired, from being awake for almost two days said; “After I get some sleep I will cast a spell to get us out of here.” With that Jarred dozed off;
When he awoke he found that Adam had cast some spells to make some knives and other small weapons so that they could be ready the next time to defend there selves. Jarred stood up and he said some things that Adam didn’t understand after a few minutes a hole opened, Jarred and Adam held their arms in front of their faces because the sunlight glared down on them. Adam helped Jarred out and then jumped up himself; after figuring out where they were the two headed north in hopes of still rescuing Jarred’s partner.

Adam and Jarred spoke of many things as they traveled northward, Adam told Jarred much about the Phantoms and their secrets. Like wise Jarred told Adam about nature’s secrets and how he could use it to help him. “Adam how can you do some of the things you do?” Jarred asked Adam. “In Matthew 17 verse 20 God says that if we faith like a mustard seed we can do anything.” Jarred looked up at the sky and thought about this, “Faith,” he thought; he closed his eyes and tried to have a feeling of faith. He opened his eyes again and he saw the clouds move into the shape of his face. “See.” Adam smiled and they continued on. Adam and Jarred guessed they were about four or five days from where the Phantoms lived, Jarred could feel the weather getting colder and colder. It was two days after Jarred and Adam had come up out of the ground and they stopped for the night as it was getting dark. Jarred and Adam took turns throughout the night to watch out so the other could get some sleep. Jarred decided to take the first turn this night; as Adam fell asleep, Jarred looked up at the stars they were beautiful, millions and millions of stars to look at. Jarred closed his eyes and thanked God for the stars that he had made for his glory. All of sudden dark clouds covered the stars, and a cold, fast wind started blowing. Jarred stood up and looked around, he had very good vision and could see things close at a distance; he didn’t see anything but he had an uneasy feeling. He walked over to Adam and woke him up, “Adam wake up something strange is happening.” Jarred pointed to the sky, “All the stars were out a minute ago and then all the sudden, the wind came and the clouds covered them up. Adam starred at the sky for a minute until saying; “The Phantoms cast a spell to hide the stars so they can’t listen in on a meeting they have planned, they usually meet in a place called Minetek it is full of evil magic and a place that should never be visited, we should probably go underground.” Adam looked over at Jarred and nodded, Jarred said a spell and the ground opened. Jarred and Adam hopped in, then Jarred said; “Eni et almon él fi.” And the hole closed back up; Jarred made a fire and Adam and Jarred both sat down. “I just hope that they aren’t talking about us.” Jarred said. (Adam now you can write something profound, and it would be great if other people started telling there story as well instead of just Adam and I)

(this is Jesse)
It had been so long the I barely know who I am anymore. The pain, the constant excrutiating pain, nothing aliviated it. "I didn't know what I was doing at the time, I didn't know this would happen I'm so sorry" I cried aloud. No one heard my cry, no one ever hears me. Just an echo that seemed so loud and yet fell so dead going nowhere. Even the seclusion didn't seem so bad if only the voices would leave me allown. The voices used to be friends, used to be. Now they haunt me. It's hopeless absolutly hopeless. No real friends they would only turn on me. Freinds are only faithful when they want or need something. I'm better off by myself I'll show them, they'll see. All I need is some help, the voices will help me they are my friends now, they take care of me. Here they come again, welcome freinds. Tell me what I am to do, what is your bidding. The voices always help me. always

(wasn't that great... It was shweet)

This is Adam

Adam and Jarred walked in silence. Every now and then the ground shook. But they ingored it, Adam felt something stirring inside him, something depressing and sad. It grew stronger and stronger with every step. He began to breath heavily. Something was happening, something he hadn't felt in so long. The pain, the fear of losing a loved one, the loss of a friend.
"Stop! Stop it now!" Adam said under his breath, "Leave me alone, I don't want you here anymore... don't do this again."
His voice grew louder than ever before, he sensed darkness.
It surrounded them, it made him grow weak, it made a pain so unbearable he wanted to die. It started as a small trickle of sadness, it had been growing over the few days. Now it had just reached it's climax.
"Stop it! Stop it!" Adam yelled in a dark and deep voice.
Jarred stopped and backed away.
Adam quickly looked up to Jarred, his eyes were glazed.
"Help me, Jarred. Help me." He cried in an eerie voice.
Adam clutched his stomach, he fell and yelled. The ground was shaking.
Adam's eyes turned blood shot, then they went black. He started to glow red. The tunnel rumbled. Dust fell from the ceiling of the tunnel.
Jarred rushed to Adam and planted his hand on his heart. He started to caste a spell.
"Aien ban sqwee ai du sno yair..." Jarred said trembling.
Adam turned over and curled into a ball. He heard faint noises growing and growing. It was like a cowd, a crowd trying to say different things to him. Some screaming, hurting his ears.
Adam felt numb, his joints locked. He didn't uncurl, he was having a vision.

Beth was banging on some cell walls. A few Phantoms flew into the room and grabbed her. They pulled her from the cell, one Phantom hit her on the back of the head. She slumped over, unconscious. They dragged her away. Blood soaked her light brown hair. Then something blurry and black flew into the room and grabbed her. The Phantoms turned around and went black and blurry as well.

The vision ended... Adam looked up to see Jarred standing next to him.
Then Jarred fell over for no apparent reason.


(The blacked out Jarred)
Jarred found himself in a dark field the grass was black the sky was black, Jarred looked around, he saw Jesse looking at him with piercing eyes; Beth was tied up to a pillar of stone next to him. Jarred walked toward him he pulled out his sword, and prepared for a fight with Jesse; but just as he reached him he vanished, Jarred turned to Beth her head was faced down. Jarred walked up to her, she lifted her head up to see Jarred; her eyes were blazing red; Jarred stumbled backwards and fell down from the shock. (Back in the real world)
Jarred looked up at Adam, he was back to normal and he was chanting a spell. “Jarred, what happened?” Adam helped Jarred up, Jarred looked around; his eyes were wide and fearful. “I had a vision.” He looked over at Adam who had sat back down; “I had one also!” Jarred sat down next to Adam, “What was it about?” Adam related to Jarred what he had seen, concern filled Jarred. “I found myself in a field where everything was black even the grass, and Jesse was there,” Jarred stuttered over his words, “and I pulled my sword out and prepared to fight but he disappeared, and Beth was tied up to a pillar of stone and she had red eyes and I fell backwards and I woke up.” Jarred looked over at Adam, “What do they mean?” Adam knew more about visions then Jarred; “I don’t know but we must not be frightened by these visions we must stay on the right path and pray for guidance.” Jarred nodded his head, the fear that he had left him, “but we must go get Beth as soon as possible something strange is happening!” Jarred looked at Adam, “I agree,” Jarred thought about what just happened, he wondered what would happen next; he didn’t want to lose the only partner he had ever had!

This is Adam now...

Adam sat by Jarred looking around. He sighed and into Jarred's eyes. He sighed again and said, "I think it's time I told you, Jarred, " Adam said slowly.
"Tell me about what?" Jarred asked curiously.
"I am going to tell you about Jesse, the Ice Phantoms and why I prefer to go by mysef. I'll start with the Ice Phantoms. The Ice Phantoms were discovered years ago... before my... my father was born," Adam said continued, "They were a the most frightening Phantom ever discovered. They are very powerful, not many could track down and control them. But somehow Jesse did, he found them and mastered them. How he did I don't know how. But the main thing is how to kill them. Many people have turned to fire spells to kill them, but what you need is ice spells. That will protect you the most and kill them instantly. My father figured this out after looking at records, old transcripts and old stories. When you attack an Ice Phantom with a fire spell and you "kill" it you split it into two others. If you use any spell attack on a Phantom while it is in another form you just send it back to the master, which in this case is Jesse.
If you use a ice spell it kills it, like I said before. That is why I have tried to master the Ice Spells day after day... cause one day I knew it would come in handy. Unfortunately I haven't yet... that's where Jesse comes in. He was once my trainer, I went to him secretly after training with Cassie and Amanda... I traded my knowledge of Ice Phantoms with him, in return he trained me to master any spell technique, I chose ice. I told him everything, everything about them... but he went further and learned more from things that I have only heard in fables and stories. I can't remember what they are called but, they live in the catacombs. They aren't natural creatures nor are they mystical. They are from another dimension like Phantoms and Pink fairies. They don't come from around here, they are from the Zoth Dimension. believe me when I say that the Zoth Dimension exists, cause that is where I have seen my vision taking place. I have no idea why it took place there but, I think something is coming that we aren't expecting. I can't say what, but it isn't going to be pleasant.
And the last thing, why I prefer to work alone. I have trouble looking out for my partner and usually I grow attached to them. Then I lose focus on the primary mission and try to protet my partner more than I protect myself. When that happens I am vulnerable to attacks from the Zoth dimension, from Black fairies which I think don't exist anymore, I am also vulnerable to Phantom dementors, I lose magic storage faster, I can't focus to well on moving objects, I can't see through disguises and when I am face to face with a Phantom I can be easily manipulated. That is why Amanda tried so hard to teach me to withstand manipulation. Then I get worse after that, I lust for power, Anger and bitterness take over. They control me, then my mind is open to darkness. The powerful voices that won't let go. They continuisly attack and grasp to my mind.
That is why I try to do missions by myself. That is why I cannot.... I cannot be a complete Phantom Hunter... I am a Lone Hunter and I will always be a Lone Hunter." Adam sighed as he was finished, "I am seeing what will happen in the future, Jarred. If I tell it will all come true and I don't want that to happen."
Jarred just nodded his head and looked to the floor.


(Jarred)
Jarred and Adam remained in hole for a few more hours and then they decided that they would continue onward. Jarred opened the hole and the two got out, it was morning and the black clouds were gone, there was some morning snow on the ground; so before they started traveling again, Adam chanted a few spells for warmer clothing. For the first time in a while Jarred started wondering about the others, he wondered what had happened after Adam, him and Beth got separated from them. As the two boys walked along Adam thought Jarred many spells that would help him fight the phantoms, he talked mostly about the Ice phantoms for he knew a lot about them. At about two o’clock Jarred and Adam decided to stop for lunch, the sun was shinning and the wind wasn’t too bad so they decided they would eat above ground. Jarred chanted a spell to make there lunch “ren el font si mik ni wem tel” They were in a wood but the sun shone through the trees and it made the lunch very bright and happy, the two boys were sitting up against a tree; they hadn’t felt this happy in a long time. “I’ve read about the north, but I never expected it to be this nice.” Jarred said as he took a bite of his lunch; Adam froze, his face expression changed. “Adam what’s wrong?” Adam pulled out his sword; “That’s the point it shouldn’t be this nice, something strange is going on,” Jarred stood up as well and looked around, neither of them felt so hungry anymore. “Adam you’re not telling me something.” Adam looked at Jarred, “Jesse, he knows we’re here.” Visions flew into Jarred’s mind he started to think about Beth again and what she was going through and Jesse with those glaring dark, deep red eyes. Adam’s concerns proved to be right when dark swirling clouds came over them, everything turned black. Jarred and Adam with swords in hand looked around the wood, Adam smelled the air; “Wolves, lots of them.” Jarred had only fought wolves once and there were only three, he could see bright eyes all around them in the darkness. One of the wolves howled a evil horrifying howl, the wolves attacked us, Adam killed the first one instantly by slashing it in the neck, two wolves rushed at Jarred, he thought about Beth in a cell and Adam his best friend fighting next to him, all fear left Jarred and in its place came a determined feeling. Jarred flipped in the air and slashed the two wolves in face with his knives, they fell to the ground and then ran away howling in anger; before he knew it four other wolves were on him, he striked at the wolves with a fiery for his friends, he didn’t want to lose Adam or any of his other friends. Jarred took the first two wolves down, then a wolf came from behind and knocked the sword out of Jarred’s hand, the sword broke in two; Jarred jumped back up and pulled out his knives, he looked over at Adam who was fighting like a hero, Jarred ran at the wolves, he quickly slit the first ones throat but there were too many, Jarred was knocked over and bitten several times, he felt pain everywhere he tried to struggle but the pain was unbearable, the last thing he remembered was Adam chanted a spell in a loud voice and killing all the wolves around him, Jarred blacked out. He found himself very high up in a tree, his wounds were gone and he felt great, he looked down at the ground, and there was Beth and Adam, they signaled for him to come down, Jarred started to climb down, he keep going down for five minutes when he stopped to take a rest he looked down; Beth and Adam were still as far down as they were before, Jarred was confused, he tried jumping out of the tree but he stopped in mid air as if he had hit a rock. He looked back down at Adam and Beth, tears came into his eyes, he could hear Adam saying “Wake up, wake up…”
Jarred opened his eyes, the pain came back he was back in the real world, everything was still dark, he looked at Adam he was blurry; one of his eyes were swollen shut and he had a painful headache, his clothes were stained with dark red blood. “Adam.” Jarred said faintly, “Is that you?” Tears came to Adam’s eyes; “Hold on Jarred, hold on,” Adam said the spell to open the earth (Jarred thought him). Adam picked up Jarred and he jumped into the hole he laid Jarred down and then said “Eni et almon él fi” the hole shut, Adam made a fire in the middle of the room; Jarred had never felt so much pain in his life, his right ankle bone was shattered, his right elbow as also shattered, he had cuts everywhere, his face didn’t look like his own. Jarred fell asleep just as Adam started chanting some spells, he remembered no more (at least for a while).


Adam here...

Adam sat next to a nearby wall. He looked at Jarred but couldn't see too well his vision was blurred by his tears. He sat there there saying, "I'm sorry Jarred, I'm so sorry I didn't help you. I'm so sorry.. How could this have happened, why did you let this happen? Why?!" Adam looked to Jarred and said, "I have to do this Jarred, for both of us... I won't let you die, I can't watch you suffer anymore. I have to do this."
Adam moved away from the wall and kneeled over Jarred. He started chanting a spell, "Amie kue ra na sin embra oer lan chien atsu wesh anya ai su la."
Jarred began to glow, a purple swirling portal opened. Adam looked down to Jarred, Jarred opened his eyes a little and moaned. Adam said, "I'll see you at home Jarred."
Adam slowly pushed Jarred into the portal. Adam said a few words and the portal closed.
He sat in the tunnel, all by himself, then he stood and started running.


-Tai here-

Tai smiled at Delian who was at last sleeping. She deserved to sleep - she had been weary from her worrying and tears, but she had taken the first watch that night anyway. Before taking her place as the next watch out side, Tai looked over the cots just to make sure everyone was sleeping well. Joey and Jen snored lightly, Steven tossed several times, and Chris was drooling a little. Tai sighed, she was thinking of her warm covers, but her first duty was to now take her post and watch for the pantoms.
She closed the door behind her silently and sat down with her back against the hut. She fingered her bow string as she looked up into the star-filled sky and wondered what God's plan was in all of these terrible things that had been happening... and she wondered if Jarred, Adam or Beth were even still alive. "Faith..." she murmured. "...I need to have faith!" She leaned back and closed her eyes for a second, but what she saw behind her closed lids was not what she had expected or wanted. There was the usual darkness, but in the midst of that darkness was... "Beth!" Tai knew Beth couldn't hear her or see her immediately, but she could see Beth. Her hair was a mess, her clothes had been exchanged for black ones and as she looked on, Beth looked up and opened her eyes - RED! They were red! Tai gasped, "No! Take me instead! Please - not her!" She yelled out to no one in particular. Then a dark mist gathered and writhed until she could see the form of, "Jesse!" Jesse grinned, "Nice little trophy we have, eh?" His billowing laughter filled Tai with dread... but it was a hollow laugh. "We would never consider taking you as a replacement for her... but both of you..." Jesse started to cast a spell - Tai could feel that it was a cage spell. But then he stopped and looked behind her with a look of mixed fear, horror, rage and surprise. He started to run - forgetting for the moment that he could simply dissapear. Tai just stood still - and what ran past her next was a bigger surprise to see than she had ever expected when she volunteered to take this watch - three flaming chariots dashed past her. They were pulled by enormous animals very similar to our horses - except for their golden glowing wings. The people - or things driving them were like giants with two pairs of wings and shining armor. The had their swords drawn, and they gleamed in the immense light that surrounded each chariot. Tai had a feeling, dispite her slight fear of these beings, that they were on her side, and as a feeling of warmth enveloped her, she closed her eyes...

Tai looked around. The stars were still out and in the same positions as before... wait - she looked closer. Being a master of the stars herself, she could see in them that someone had used a portal spell and opened up a hole in the sky to travel through... she looked at the lare gap between the stars, the black, ominous gap. Who could have used it... and where were they going with it? Suddenly, the gap glowed purple and she stood up. You could only see the purple of the portal when... whoever it was was being transported right to you! She fitted an arrow to her bow, and waited. She didn't have long to wait, however and Jarred came crashing to the ground. "Jarred! You're back - you're ALIVE!!!" Tai yelled, but then she saw that Jarred wasn't getting up - he had blood staining his shirt. She sank to her knees. "Dell, Steven, Chris - SOMEBODY! I need some help - Jarred's back, but he's hurt badly!" she yelled. Steven came dashing out of the ht first and picked up Jarred as Dell, Jen, Joey and Chris came running out all asking what had happened at the same time. Delian was overjoyed to see her younger brother, but dismayed to see him hurt. As the others filed into the hut, Steven still carrying Jarred, Dell hung back to ask Tai, "Do... do you think he'll be Ok?" she sniffed, but braved held back the tears that stung the corners of her eyes. Tai looked up just as a shooting star dissappeared behind a distant hill and murmured, "God knows - he knows everything."

Adam here

Adam ran faster and faster... a trail of dust followed him. Tears streamed down his fae as he ran in the tunnel...
'I have to do this, I have to' He thought to himself over and over again.
He caste a spell, he began to run faster. Everything around him began to blur.
"Why are you running?" A voice asked him.
"I have to do this... I have to." Adam replied.
"Why are you running?" The voice asked again.
"Leave me alone!!! I'm not listening to you... I will not listen to you anymore, you have brought so much pain... So just leave me alone!" Adam replied harshly.
"I can't... We are YOU!!!" The voice yelled.
Adam caste the same spell again... everything turned brown, he felt light, he couldn't feel his legs. He wanted to get away. He wanted the voices to leave, but they wouldn't.
"COME BACK!!!" A different voice yelled.
Adam immediately stopped, looked behind him to see a pink light floating in the air. It was Empa. Adam wiped away his tears and waited.
Empa flew closer and stopped in front of him.
"Where is Jarred?" She asked.
"I've snt him home... There was nothing I could do to heal him... only Chris or... or Beth could completely heal him." Adam said as he fell to the ground thinking of his friends.
"Don't cry Adam... I'm sure God will--" Empa started.
"What do you know about God!!! Huh?! You know nothing!! You were created in another dimension... you were created unnaturally!" Adam interrupted as he glared at Empa, "You know nothing..."
"By the way I've heard you and Jarred speak of him, He is loving, caring... and... and fullfiling. But now that Jarred has gone... seems to me that you have changed... you are acting different... you are bitter, angry and depressed." Empa replied.
"You're right... I have been acting different... I have been running... running from the emotions, the signs that tell me to turn to Him for help... Thank you, Empa."

(Adam again)

Adam slowly stood, his shoulders drooped a little. But he straightened and turned to Empa. She darted around him.
Adam looked at her and said, "Forgive me...?"
Empa flew around Adam and replied, "I... forgive... you."
Adam knew she had no idea what she had just said, he shook his head and looked to his fet. He looked up and began to speak.
The tunnel shook, Adam leaned against the wall so he wouldn't lose his balance. Empa flew around, not knowing what was going on. Then the tunnel began to collapse.
Adam turned and started running. He tried a spell, but it wasn't letting him.
"Phantoms? No, I would've sensed them. Jesse? No, He doesn't know where I am." Adam thought to himself as he started to pick up his pace.
Vertigo came over him, he felt light headed. He fell to the ground, the tunnel still collapsed. He lay on the ground helpless. The crumbling tunnel sound started to over come all other sounds, except his heartbeat. He tried standing... he couldn't. Adam started to panic, he didn't know what to do.
"Empa!!!" He yelled loudly.
Empa stopped and turned, she didn't know that Adam had fallen behind. She turned and flew back.
"Help me..." Adam pleaded.
"I can't... I... I will die, if I touch a human." Empa replied sadly.
Adam curled into a ball and called for an open portal and talked to Alex.
"Alex, I need you... come on in... this isn't a trick... this is Adam." Adam begged.

(Adam)
Jarred slowly opened his eyes, a bright light came through some broken wooden drapes. He squinted and held up his hand. He looked around him, he was in a room.
'What happened to me? Where am I?' He thought to himself.
"Adam? Adam are you in here?" Jarred asked confused.
No response but dead silence. Jarred moved his leg and pain shot through his body, he yelled and laid back down on the bed. His ankle was hurting with pain that wouldn't leave.
A door burst open, Dell came running in with glee. She grabbed Jarred and held onto him tightly.
"I'm so glad you're back, Dont' leave again." She said seriously through tears.
"Where's Adam?" Jarred managed to ask through the tight hug.
Dell let go and looked at him, "What do you mean, Adam? He was with you?"
"Yeah, we were fighting some wolves in the North Woods and then I remember waking up in a tunnel... that's it."

(Adam)
At first Alex hesitated when he heard Adam's voice. He sat up on his bed and saw a portal open. Then he heard Adam talk again. Alex rolled to the side of hid bed and got up. He walked to the portal and stuck his hand through. Then he took two full steps. He appeared in a dark tunnel. Adam looked up from the ground and saw Alex standing above him. Alex looked around and saw that the tunnel was caving. He looked down and saw Adam laying on the ground. He grabbed his arm and lifted him over his shoulders. Then he cast the teleportaion spell.

They were standing on the ground a few meters from the collapsing tunnel.

The GREAT story BEGINS NOW!!!!

(Adam here)
The hot searing sun sat above the twelve working teenagers. Alex stood up and leaned on his shovel. He sighed and said, "Five more days... until they come." "Why are you counting the days, Alex?" Beth asked, "It's like you want them to come." "Yeah I want them to come! Adam and I are going to have another competition." Alex replied. "You're going to lose so bad, Alex. I'll beat you again," Adam exclaimed. "Hey man, Pride comes before the fall," Alex replied. "Hey, can I join in on the competition?" Jarred asked "The more the merrier," Adam replied.

(this is Dell)
"Would you guys just get back to work?!" Dell asked throwing a shovel load of dirt behind her. "It's not like we have eternity to finish this!" She wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead. "Sorry Dell." Adam replied sarcastically. She smiled even though she didn't want to "If you're really sorry can you get me a drink of water?" Adam threw her a waterbottle and she eagerly let the liquid flow down her throat. "Dell's right Adam, we don't have eternity to finish this..." Jarred said as he began digging again. They all began working feverously even though the sun kept beating down upon them with a force strong enough it seemed like it could kill them. Suddenly there was a scream from one of the girls, Jarred dropped his shovel as fast as he could and ran over to Rachael (who had screamed). She didn't say anything but just pointed down towards the ground. It was just a snake. "Rachael, it's just a snake." He said trying not to laugh. "I know... I can't help it that I'm scared of them." She said rather annoyed that she in fact couldn't help the fact she was scared of them... scared to death of them. "It's alright Rachael... everyone of us is scared of something." Ben said handing her some water. "Yeah Rachael, I mean even Dell here is scared of gruesome images and stuff..." Chris added. "No I am not!" Dell said over her shoulder. "Come on Dell, you don't have to keep denying the fact that you're actually scared of gruesome images and stuff." Tai said teasingly. Dell didn't answer. "Guys, get back to work!" Cried Daniel impatiently as he was the only one had hadn't stopped working, along with Steven. There were a few groans but soon enough they all went back to work.

(this is Alex)
They had all been working for months on a tunnel system through the village. This was so that when "they" do come the villagers could escape and the Phantom Hunters could sneak around to kill the phantoms undetected. Every time the Phantoms come the hunters get better and better they have lost many friends but they are losing less and less. There is hope now.

(this is Dell)
For a long time these youth had been trained by two of the best; Cassie and Amanda. The two masters had drilled them hard and then they had officially become the master's sidekicks. There was Adam, Alex, Jarred, Delian, Rachael, Steven, Chris, Daniel, Beth, Tai, and Ben. Each and everyone of them had different strengths and weaknesses, but none the less, they were a team and they were ready for whatever came.

The searing sun began to set in the distant over the dry, barren hills. Adam set down his shovel and sat in the tunnel. He lowered his head and watched as beads of sweat dripped from his head. Then he felt something beside him. He slowly looked to his left and saw the same snake that scared Rachel. He grabbed it and picked it up. He held it's mouth shut so it couldn't bite him. He wrapped it around his arm and put the mouth between his index finger and thumb, and squeezed. He held the snake in the air and chanted a few words. The snake went up in flames and turned to ashes. He said, "Come near us Phantom Hunters again and I'll do more than send you back to your phantom world.......Yes, that's right. I can see right through your disguises. It's been something I've been perfecting for a long time and I'm coming for you Jesse." "Adam, come on. It's getting late," Dell yelled. Adam stood up and looked toward the sunset. It was beautiful, but lied beyond that was the caverns the catacombs of where the Phantoms lived. It was a horrid area, dry, chapped with sharp rocks, cold and empty. That is where they believe that the last battle of Phantom Hunters and Phantoms will take place. But we believe it will be over Hollow Lake. It is basically the doorstep to our village. We've tried to protect other villages, but we have failed and lost so many people. So many friends and family. The people we grew attached to live in those villages. Some of them were our hometowns. But luckily for us we survived.....we survived the disaster. The bizarre attacks that took place at the end of every week. But now that we, Phantoms Hunters, learned how to destroy Phantoms, their attacks shortened and gave us more time to prepare. But now were ready.......were ready to stop them. Adam looked away from the sunset, as two tear drops ran down his face.

(this is Alex)
Meanwhile, In a small house in the village Alex and Jarred sit across the table from the village leader. "We have protected you before and no we can not promise that there will be no deaths this time but we can tell you that we will not give up we will protect you till not a one of us is standing" Alex in a soft voice. Then Jarred said reassuringly "There is no reason to fear we will fight. How ever they are coming and we must be ready for them when they do" The village leader then began to speaks in a slow raspy voice "I do not fear that you will not fight, my fear is that you under estimate that Phantom. I sense that he is hiding something, something even the great Phantom hunters cannot stop. "His ways are very unprotected we know this very well" Jarred said. "Be careful my friends we have already lost so much" the Leader said through tears. Alex slowly spoke "I know, I know but we most focus now on what is to come. We need you to begin preparing the villagers" T he leader replied "Thank you my friends tell they others, thank you"

(Adam here)
Adam looked up to see Alex and Jarred coming from the Village leaders house. He slowly stood and approached the house. He stopped at the door and listened, he heard someone weeping. It was John the village leader. He was a very courageous man, a great leader. Not to mention his older brother. He had helped fight off Phantoms, but now he was emotionally wounded. His wife and two children were taken in a fire raid. A fire raid is where the Phantoms only cast fire spells. The house was burning. They were screaming inside and there was no way out. He tried teleporting but it wasn't working. There was some kind of shield around the house. A shield that Jesse had put up. Jarred was busy putting out the fires in town, with his water spells. The other Phantom Hunters were fighting the oncoming Phantoms. There was nothing he could do but listen and watch. He tried running into the house but he was blocked by a red barrier. It appeared everywhere he tried to get in. Soon the house collapsed, no bodies were found. Adam made a fist and grasped it hard. He wished he could've done something to save them. Be loosened his fist and grabbed the door knob. Then he sensed something, something that wasn't pleasant. He sensed a Phantom, he looked behind him to see clouds. They were coming fast they didn't look like storm clouds. They looked different, they looked cold and dark. He remembered something. Something he had forgotten. He ran off the porch and tried teleporting, it wasn't working. Something was coming and it wasn't going to be good. Adam ran down the dirt road to the Phantom Hunters house. He barged through the door, everyone looked at him. He said out of breath, "They're coming! The Ice Phantoms! They're coming! I forgot to tell you guys, but they're coming in the clouds." "What do you mean they're coming?" Dell asked scared. "The clouds they're coming and the Phantoms are in them. The Ice Phantoms. See for yourself, they are coming." Adam said. The Phantom Hunters, Amanda and Cassie all ran outside looking around. They stopped and came back in confused. "You got us good, Adam." Beth said sarcastically. Adam looked at her confused. He ran outside and looked, there they were the clouds. The cold and dark looking clouds. He pulled Dell to the side and said, "Do you see them? Tell me you see them?" Dell looked at him with a concerned look on her face. "You don't see them do you?" Adam said with a scared look on his face. "Adam, there's nothing there." Dell replied. "No! Believe what you want. I'm going alone." Adam replied. "Don't go Adam." Dell begged. "I won't wait until the last minute to do something, Dell, I'm going now." Adam said as he grabbed her shoulders. "Then, I'm coming with you," Dell replied. "No, I need you to stay here and warn the villagers. Tell them to get ready, tell John that the Ice Phantoms are coming. He'll know what to do." Adam said as he let go of her and turned. "Wait! Here you'll need these." Dell said as she ran inside. She returned with a long drench coat and two bottles of blue and pink liquids. Adam turned and jumped into the air. Then he flew out of sight.

As he flew into the sky Dell came back into the house in tears. "He's left to fight the Phantoms... he's gone." Dell said sadly with drooped shoulders. "What did he do?" exclaimed Alex jumping from his seat. "You heard me, he's gone! Adam has gone by himself to fight them! And you all sit here and wait for them to come while he's gone." She had said this with a fire in her eyes, then she whimpered. "What are we going to do?" "Well I'll tell you! We're going to fight with him! Lets go!" Steven demanded as he stood up and grabbed his guns. "You heard him lets go, pick your lazy selves up and lets go!" Chris added jumping up as well. As they prepared to fight they all heard a loud gun shot in the distant.

Meanwhile the Phantom Hunters were in the village when Daniel sensed something as a cold wind blew passed his hear beckoning him to turn around. He turned slowly. He saw nothing, then he saw a bridge of ice appear then he yelled "Phantoms!" He ran to alert everyone else "They're here!" Daniel yelled. The others look confused at first but then the saw for themselves. Alex yelled "Jarred and Beth get the villagers out of here! Lead them to the tunnels that have already been built! Everyone else your with me" Steven yelled "What about Adam! I'm not going to leave him all alone with what seems like two dozen Phantoms!"

(This is Adam)
Adam flew through a thick cloud and heard a loud gunshot. He stopped in mid-flight and floated calmly. The bullet sound echoed loudly, he looked around. Then a cold, harsh wind pushed him back. He lost his balance and fell. He was growing cold, he could see his breath as he fell through the clouds. He chanted a few words and teleported somewhere higher. He looked around, nothing. The cold wind came upon him again. He stopped and looked down below him. Black figures swarmed. He looked up and pulled out his double-edged sword. He caste the lightning spell, lightning surrounded the blade of his sword. Then he cast the wind spell. The clouds blew away. Ice Phantoms surrounded him. They all glared, he couldn't see there eyes or their skin. He knew they weren't planning on taking him as a prisoner. He raised his sword like he was wielding a baseball bat. He let out a war cry and charged. The surrounding Phantoms let out an eerie high pitch cry and disappeared. Adam stopped and looked around. Then he heard a loud bang behind him. He slowly turned to see Jesse, the Leader of the Phantoms. He wore a long hooded cape like the Phantoms, but his was red. It was blood red. He wore two scarlet gloves that covered his hands. His shoes looked like stone, they had something carved into them. Jesse moved his cape and revealed a sword. He pulled it from it's case. It looked like it weighed seventy pounds. It was also a double-edged sword. Writings covered the blade, they were glowing with a bright green color. Adam recognized the writing, it was the old Radan Language. Radon had died long ago, only so many people were left who could read, write and speak the language.

(Dell)
Dell looked around at the other villagers, a few good friends stood out in the increasing wind firmly, knowing that they would do all in their strength to defend their families and friends. Rachael Tai and Ben were hearding the young children and the elderly to safety while the rest of them stood together readying themselves for anything. Dell looked forward and saw the first Phantom leading on the others toward them. It stared at her, even though she couldn't see it's eyes... she felt it's gaze pierce into her. The image of it frightened her to death, and she shivered, but stood firm without wavering. However as they grew closer she couldn't help but back up a step or two. She took a deep breath, and once again advanced with the others this time without shivering. But all the while she could feel the gaze of the Phantom burning into her. "It'll be okay." Chris said without looking behind. Dell groaned, no one was supposed to know that she was scared. "Of course I will..." She said making sure her voice didn't shake. Alex interrupted her. "We're all scared... there's nothing wrong with it." "I hate being scared..." Dell said under her breath... but she saw that both Alex and Chris had heard her because they both smiled just a little bit.

(Jesse here)
These Ice phantoms were creatures of the deep darkness. Only once before had a sighting of these distorted beings of the Zoth Dimension been reported in the Webler Universe. Even this report was looked upon as the sketches and writings of a mad man. One that all believed to be a lunatic. So as a matter of safety the counsel decided to reform his mind, but this only taught him to keep silent about what he had seen. History skipped over the matter as if it had never occurred and everyone forgot about Kyle. He went on to lead a normal life and never told anyone except his son Jarell about what he had seen. He taught Jarell about what happened in all it's details and also what he had learned of their weaknesses. This was passed down to the sons of every generation until it came to Aiden, Adam's father.

(Dell here)
Dell's first instinct was to become invisible, but she knew that with Phantoms, it ususally didn't help. She took a deep breath and pressed the gun to herself trying to calm herself. "We have to attack now!" Steven called out. Chris grabbed his shoulder before he could take another step. "NO! That's what they want us to do... tell everyone to find cover and to be ready to fight at Alex's signal." Steven lowered his gun and quickly darted behind a small house and gave the signal for everyone to find cover. Dell quickly ran and hid behind a small building along with Jarred, Beth and Chris. They stood with their backs to the wall. Dell inwardly groaned at the thought of how dirty her hair was going to be after this. Suddenly she felt the gaze of a Phantom again, she didn't shiver, but instead she prayed that Adam was okay and that they would make it out alright.

(This is Adam)
Adam stared at Jesse, he looked at his weapon and then back at his face. He looked into his deep red eyes. He remembered when Jesse was a human and had hazel eyes. Adam had been an apprentice of Jesse. Jesse had taught him how to save on magic, cast a wider variety of spells, shape-shift and see through disguises. Adam stopped thinking and looked up at Jesse. He said in a raspy voice, "I'm gonna take you out, it's gonna be hard. But I'm gonna do it." Adam teleported behind Jesse and swung his sword. Jesse quickly turned and blocked the swift strike. Adam stood in front of him breathing heavily, still pushing against Jesse's sword. "You don't have to do this Adam. You can be my apprentice once again. Be my friend once more, forgive me. I won't abandon you again." Jesse said soothingly. "LIES!!!" Adam yelled as he pulled his sword back an struck repeatedly. Jesse backed away and looked at Adam and said, "I'm sorry." Adam felt guilty, angry, happy, bitter, sad and tired. He wanted to stop fighting, but at the same time he didn't. Adam looked down to the ground below him and saw Ice Phantoms. Jesse had found them, he had mastered them and used them for his evil bidding. That's what he wanted in return for all the training. He wanted to know about Ice Phantoms. Adam had given the information so freely to him, because he trusted him. He looked up to Jesse, he was gone. The cold came back. Adam felt alone and scared. He looked around fast. He saw nothing. Then he heard a loud scream, he looked down to see the Ice Phantoms swarming, again. He flew higher and looked down. The Phantoms still came closer. Adam casted the fire spell and threw fire balls at the Phantoms. They dodged them and flew faster. Adam felt tired again. He began to lose his grip on his sword. The Phantoms were chanting a sleeping spell. Adam blinked twice and his eyelids began to close. His eyes burned and he felt light. He began to fall. The clouds around him began to blur as he fell faster and faster. He let go of his sword and fell asleep.

*Beth* (Adam gave me permission to redo this part)
Beth was escorting the villagers into the tunnel when she saw it. A cloud of phantoms in the distance. "That has to be where Adam is" she thought to herself. She squinted looking at what could be the end of her good friend. Then she saw a dark figure falling from the sky toward the lake. Beth gasped and looked around, trying to find Alex. He was no where to be seen. She panicked and then made her decision. She ran two steps and jumped into the air and flew towards Adam. She knew she wouldn't get to him before he fell into the lake. She flew up and when she was over top of the lake she plunged head first toward the lake. The ice phantoms didn't see her above them. They were all focused on freezing the lake. They were succeeding. There was already about 3 inches of ice on the top of the lake. As she approached the lake she threw a fire ball into the ice making a hole enough for her to plunge into the water. Adam awoke at the sound of water splashing. He was wet and cold, he was underwater. He was in Hollow Lake. Things around him was dark. He cast a teleportation spell, nothing happened. He was sinking, he was being pulled under by the coat. He tried to pull the coat off. It wasn't budging, he was sinking further and further. He could no longer see the surface. Everything became dark. He still struggled to get the coat off. Then he saw things around him, they were dark shadows. He became frightened, he wanted to leave, he wanted to get out of the lake. Then two hands grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him upwards. He began to rise to the surface. He started to lose consciousness. He started to blackout, his eyes began to burn again. They got heavy, he heard the Phantoms chanting. They were chanting an Ice Spell. They planned to freeze the lake. Adam saw the surface, it was already covered with ice. The chanting grew louder. He saw a glimmer. His sword was sticking into a stone. Beth saw Adam at the bottom of the lake and began to swim toward him. He looked conscious but he was being pulled downward by something. Beth drew her sword. The water was freezing. She came to Adam and sliced at the thing grabbing Adam. It let go and they began to swim toward the surface. Adam stopped, he had to go back and get his sword. Time was running out. Soon the ice would be to thick to get out. They approached the surface, now covered in a thick layer of ice. Adam swam ahead and thrust his sword into the ice. He did it with such force that the ice cracked and they were able to push through. They got up onto the ice. The air was cold, the ice phantoms were all around them. "I guess I do have some skills" Beth said trying to lighten the mood just then the phantoms stopped chanting and let out a high pitched screech. Beth doubled over and covered her ears, but Adam looked relatively unaffected by the noise. Beth was loosing consciousness, the noise was everywhere inside she couldn't think she dropped her sword. She was breathing heavily, loosing her grip on reality. Then blacked out Adam looked at Beth confused, as she blacked out for no apparent reason. He had to draw the phantoms away from her. He had to fight the phantoms alone... Again. He looked around, soaking wet. The Phantoms looked at him and screamed, they all charged. Adam quickly drank the liquids and dropped the two empty bottles.

By this time a large number of Phantoms had assembled at the entrance of the village this was very surprising for the phantom hunters because they were early. Once all the people were in the tunnels Alex turned with great surprise to see the Mass of phantoms that had assembled. He did not hesitate and drew his sword and raised it in the air shooting a beam of light into the sky. This signaled to the others that the people were saved and to charge the Phantoms. Then Alex Beth and Jarred all jumped into the air and flew towards the mass of screaming cold blackness...

Adam raised his sword, once again and swiped as hard as he could. He slashed through a couple Phantoms and saw them disappear. They gave a short cry of agony as they disappeared. Then they multiplied, he saw them re-appear at the back of the other Phantoms. He teleported away from the Phantoms and called fro help. He could only reach Jarred. Then he cast shield barrier around him. A bright blue glow illuminated him, the shield would take a limited amount of damage before it was dispelled. Adam flew back into the crowd and slashed the Phantoms again and again. A few swords him in the back, but they bounced off him and hurt the shield. Adam felt the shield failing as the Phantoms attacks came faster and faster. It was beginning to fade and disappear. Then a sword hit him in the back. He cried out in pain as the weapon sunk into his flesh. He flew forward and hit a few Phantoms away as he was kicked in the back. He tried casting the shield again, but his magic was too low. His heartbeat began to race; his head began to pound with every beat. His wounds were bleeding and the Phantoms were still coming. Adam cast the Ice spell on himself, his sword froze. He began to turn pale, his hair gave a faint glow of blue. He breathed out and let out a cool breeze. He was invincible for however the spell lasted. He swiped at a Phantoms head, it split in half. Black ooze splashed on his sword and his face. The Phantom didn't scream or disappear, it died.

Jarred stopped what he was doing and turned to Hollow Lake. He was being called by Adam. He turned to Alex and Beth and said, "I'll be back." He jumped into the air and flew away.

Adam slashed again and again. Black blood splashed on him and on the frozen lake below him. He felt the two bottles of liquid kicking in. One was Elixer of Youth which, cleared his mind which helped him think faster, move quicker and strike harder. The other was to refill his magic and extend the containment of how much magic he could use.

Jarred flew over a forest of pine trees and there sat Hollow Lake. Phantoms were everywhere, and then he saw Adam. He was blue and was killing the Phantoms. Then he was knocked down. Jarred gasped at the sight, the Phantom started to pile onto him. Jarred drew his two swords and flew at full speed.

Adam kneeled forward, the spell had ended and there was a huge gash in his stomach. Only Beth or Chris could heal him now and someone only as fast as Jarred could get him to safety. The Phantoms lay on top of him they breathed out a cold breeze. It began to freeze him, he started to shiver and his wet clothes became stiff. The Phantoms began to shriek again, they started to disappear and re-appear. Adam looked up to see Jarred standing above him. He held two glimmering swords covered in red writings of the ancient language of Albion. Adam's stomach started to burn, it started to bleed. His fate was left to Jarred. Who knew nothing of Ice Phantoms.

(Adam here)
Jarred stood above Beth and Adam who lay unconscious. He cast the Ice and Fire spell. The two spells surrounded his weapons and made one fiery and the other frozen. Jarred slashed two Phantoms with the fiery sword, they screamed and disappeared. Four loud bangs echoed over the frozen lake. He swung the frozen sword and it sliced through two more Phantoms. They fell to the ground dead... He was hit in the head. He fell to the ground, unconscious. Jesse stood over the three fallen Phantom Hunters. "Heal, Adam and transport them to the catacombs!" Jesse ordered. An Ice Phantom screeched and laid it's hand over Adam's stomach. It shot a cool liquid of ice into his body. It turned to flesh and sealed, it fixed damaged nerves and closed his stomach. Making it seem like it never happened. Jesse picked up their weapons and looked them over. He laughed; they were covered in the dead language of Albion. Beth carried two swords that had neon purple writings, Jarred's swords were a bright red and Adam's was a pale blue color. Three Phantoms shouldered the Hunters and looked to Jesse. He made a motion that beckoned them to follow. He turned and opened his hand. He twisted it to the right and a black and purple swirl appeared, it was a portal. It swirled around and around, seeming like it would never end. Jesse stopped before he went through. He gripped the weapons by the blade and broke them in half. He threw the broken swords onto the surface of the Lake and turned. He went through, the Phantoms followed.

The other Phantom Hunters were still in the village fighting with all their strength along w/ the other villagers. Even though they were in the desert a heavy snow began to fall... It was in the middle of summer. Dell shivered violently as she leaned against a wall to get a deep breath. Darkness began to surround her and everyone else, she squinted her eyes to see. Suddenly she had a sensation of something by her side... something that could see her even through the darkness. A cold hand grabbed her arm and then her mouth to keep her from screaming. She began to panic and flail around, but whoever had her was much stronger then her. "Dell calm down, it's me." A tear slipped out of her eye as she recognized Chris' voice. "Sorry, but I thought that if I just came up you would turn around and stab me or something." He was right... she would have. "Just don't do it again." Dell said turning away even though she knew he probably couldn't see her. "Is anyone else with you?" Chris was about to answer when suddenly they heard a loud screech, another Phantom had been "killed". Dell's skin crawled at the thought of all the Phantom's she had "killed" that day, but she would willingly do it a hundred times again to keep those around her safe. After a few seconds there was suddenly a far away sound... something Dell nor any of the Phantom Hunters had ever heard before. In a flash they were suddenly gone. All of the Phantoms had left. Dell suddenly went deathly pale. Something wasn't right... and it had something to do with Adam, she knew it.

(Adam here)
Adam awoke as a loud, sheer cry rang through his ears. Startled, he looked around. He was very confused to find himself waking up in a cell. He stood looking around. He walked towards the door and chanted a spell. The door didn't budge. He tried teleporting, nothing happened. 'Shield barriers,' Adam thought to himself. He rammed against the door as hard as he could, just a loud thud replied along with some pain in his shoulder. It was wooden, he didn't understand why it wan't breaking. He kicked the door repeatedly. The door didn't budge, it only replied with a louder thud. "Will you cut that out, you're gonna get us in trouble." A girl yelled furiously, Adam recognized the voice, it was Beth. "Beth?! Beth is that you?!" Adam called out excitedly. "Adam!" Beth replied happily. "Do you know what happened to us?" Adam asked. "No, I'm not sure. All I remember is blacking out at the lake." Beth answered. "Beth, Adam is that you?" someone said wearily. "Jarred! What are you doing here?!" Beth asked curiously. (Dell) "Something's wrong!" Alex called out as everyone stood staring at each other wondering what had just happened. "Who's all here?" Dell lifted into the sky a few feet off the ground so she could see everyone. "You, Chris, Rachael, Daniel, Tai, Ben, Steven, Joey... so that means Jarred, Beth... and Adam are gone." Dell landed back down on the ground. She felt a fear stirring in her heart tying her stomach into a knot. "Is there anyway to contact them or see where they are?" Joey asked. Tai shook her head. "No, they are no signals... they're either captured and inside of a shield or they're..." She couldn't bring herself to say the word. The group stood in silence for a few seconds. "We have to do something! Alex, think of something!" Dell cried out furiously as no one did or said anything. "Really! Let's go find them... now!" Chris exclaimed impatiently. "We have to think this through... we can't lose anymore." Alex said softly... looking at them. "I realize that your brother's are out there... but so is my sister."

(Beth here)
Beth had been awake for 10 minutes. At first she was very confused she had no idea where she was except for the fact that she was in some kind of cell. she had tried everything she could think of to get out but nothing seemed to be working, it was as if who ever had designed the cell had designed it specifically to keep Phantom Hunters in. after awhile she heard a banging in another cell. judging by where the sound was coming from, the cell was to her right. that’s when she found Adam and later jarred, who was even farther to her right. Jarred related to them how he had ended up at the lake and also the last things he remembered "does anyone know how to get out of here?" Beth asked her fellow captives only a few doors down no one knew, they, just like her had tried everything they could think of. "...so is this some kind of phantom prison or something? why did they bring us here.... where is here?" Beth said with a helpless sigh. things were not looking good

-Hey, it's Tai!-
...While Adam was battling it out with Jesse and the Ice Phantoms, while Dell, Alex, Beth, Chris and others were preparing for the biggest fight with the Phantoms that they had yet seen - while all of this was going on... Tai caught her breath. Had she just heard a twig crack behind her? No - she couldn't have... she looked up - yes, the cloud with flashes of light emanating from it was still there, and she felt sure that all of the Phantoms that were close enough to be an immediate threat were up there... who was fighting them she didn't know, but she could guess - Adam was the brave - or foolish - one... he usually went first into all of the dangerous situations - especially since he was one of the few in the group who could teleport, and therefore could fight the Phantoms in the clouds. Another twig cracked. Now Tai was more nervous - of course it couldn't be a Phantom - could it? She quickly turned transparent - therefore blending into the large tree she stood behind. She pulled her collapsible bow out of her cloak's pocket, grabbed a razor-tipped arrow and fitted it to the bow. She began to reminisce, though she should have been alert - The bow and never-ending supply of magic arrows had been a gift to her from a great and good wizard. He had bequeathed them to her as he lay on his deathbed - he had been fatally wounded in a small skirmish with the evil forces. Suddenly, a firm, clammy hand gripped her shoulder - she bit her tongue - she would not scream! How could this be happening to her? A Phantom sneaking up on a Phantom Hunter! Phantom Hunters were trained better than that -weren't they?! Just as Tai was about to either give herself up for dead or try to use an arrow in place of the sword she didn't have, a voice stopped her, "Hey, Tai - don't do anything - it's me, Joey!" Tai almost laughed, because she didn't want to cry. "How... how..." "Hey, all of these years of training right next to you, and you think I would learn by now how to see you when you are transparent!" Tai let out a long sigh and became 4D once again. She sank down at the foot of the tree and was silent for a few moments - trying to stop her beating heart - the danger was all over now... wasn't it? "What are you doing out here anyway, Joey? Shouldn't you be with the others - I thought I was the only one who was supposed to be on this scouting mission." "Well, you were the only one supposed to be on this mission, but everyone else got a job to do, but me - and since we are supposed to be kinda' "default" partners, I figured I'd just trail you to make sure you were ok..." Tai chuckled, "Thanks Joey." "Hey, shouldn't we maybe go back now to see what's up with the others - they could need our help more now - and you can come back to scouting another day." Tai nodded, "Yeah, I think I've had enough of an adventure for one day!" As she put away her bow, re-sheathed her arrow and they began to walk back to the village, little did either of them know how much more of an adventure they could have in one day.

Adam leaned against the wall. The door began to open slowly. Nothing was standing there, it was just open space. The door creaked, then Adam crawled towards it. Then it slammed, he was hit in the head. He was bleeding horribly from the side of his head. He began to see images flash before his eyes. Then his vision began to become clouded. It went black every few seconds. His heartbeat was skipping. It was becoming eracitc, he couldn't breath. He started to cough for no reason. He started to go cold. He opened his mouth and call for help but nothing came from his mouth. He was getting scared. He didn't want to die. Then his eyes shut.

(Jarred finally here)
Jarred's head still hurt from the fight with the phantoms, Jesse had hit him in the back off the head while he was at the lake. He already knew there was no way out of the cell from what Adam had told him. He lay down on the hard ground and wondered were everybody else was and if anyone had died. Jarred sat up with a start when he heard one of the cell doors open, then all of the sudden it slammed shut and he heard something fall to the ground. He tried to say something but nothing came out of his mouth, he fell back down to the ground exhausted. He thought to himself, "there must be some sort of spell in here cast by the Phantoms, but no he could talk earlier." He sat back up once more but this time he didn't speak, he looked at Adam's cell and saw Adam unconscious on the floor, blood runned down the side of his head. Jarred knew that if he tried to say anything his body would ache even more. Jarred had been very close to Adam ever sense they had met at a young age, they were the same age and even though Adam did a lot of stuff alone they had become very good friends. Adam, Jarred, Beth and Jennifer were kind of all close to each other because they were all within three months of each other. Jarred opened his mouth with all the strength he had left, he started seeing everything dizzy and with his all his might he said, “Adam…” Everything disappeared from Jarred’s eye sight and he blacked out and slumped to the ground.

Adam sat on a red carpet. He looked around. Then he heard someone at the door. He stood and opened it. His friend Mike stood there. He was breathing hard and was slightly sweating. He was only six. Adam had been previously, reading about Mystical creatures called Ice Phantoms. His father had given it to him. He was told to read all he could and learn as much as he could about them. He had agreed and followed his fathers wishes. Mike stood at the door. He was ten and he was Adam's current best friend. Adam let Mike inside, Mike asked, "Is your dad here?"
"Yeah, he's in the room. Why?" Adam aked.
"My father wants to talk to him." Mike answered.
Mike's father rushed into the house and straight to Adam's fathers room. He brushed past Adam and knocked on a door.
"Who is it?" Aiden replied.
"It's me, Matt." Matt answered.
"Come in." Aiden replied.
Matt opened the door and went inside. He shut the door behind him. By this time Adam was very curious and slightly frightened. He walked to Mike and asked, "What's hap...happening?"
Mike only looked at Adam and smiled. Adam replied with a sincere smile.
The door swung open. Aiden walked from the room with a slight limp. Matt quickly followed. Aiden walked by Adam and opened the front door. He stepped out onto the porch and looked towards the sky. Adam quickly followed and looked up. He saw nothing but fluffy, life-threatening clouds that hunkered over the small village.
"They're coming, Aiden. They won't stop until were all gone." Matt said to Aiden.
Adam looked around, frightened. He wanted to know what was going on. He was scared and he didn't like the look in his fathers eyes when he looked at him.
"Aiden, look at me! They're coming!" Matt yelled.
Adam was even scared by now. He had tears welling up in his eyes. He wanted to know what was going on. He wanted to know why Matt was yelling , 'They're coming!'
Then Adam looked at the clouds once again. He saw something red. It was fire. Something was in the air and it was on fire. Then he saw more of them.
"It's a fire raid, Aiden!" Matt yelled.
'Fire raid... fire raid?' Adam thought to himself. Then it dawned on him. Phantoms... Fire Phantoms. He had just fininshed reading about them. They threw fire balls down to Earth from thick clouds that looked like storm clouds. They came from the clouds to kill any survivor who survived the Fire balls.
Aiden looked at Adam, he looked concerend and a little frightened. Adam returned the piercing gaze.
"We have to leave, Aiden." Matt said softly, "The villagers are aleady on their way to the tunnels."
"What about the two ladies? Can't they fight?" Aiden asked.
"They're already fighting." Matt replied.
"We have to run to the tunnels if we are going to survive." Matt said slowly.
"I haven't ran since my leg was broken." Aiden replied, "Take Adam... He'll be a great help in the future, I can't let him... can't let him die."
"Okay... What about you?" Matt asked.
"I'm not going," he replied.
Matt grabbed Adam and picked him up.
Adam looked at his father. He turned and walked into the house.
"Let me go! Let me go!" Adam yelled as Matt held tightly onto his arm.
Adam looked at the house as it grew smaller and smaller.
They neared the tunnels. Adam turned to Matt and bit his arm. He cried out in pain and let go. Adam dashed as fast as he could. He could see his house. It was far but he was going to get there. He heard Matt yelling to him, but he ignored him. He kept running, he was getting tired, his lungs were burning and his sides were aching. He still ran with a strong determination to reach his house. He stummbled over a broken tree branch. He fell to his knee, he stood and ran even harder that before.
He heard a loud scream overhead. He looked up and slowed down. Phantoms flew overhead. They fired dozenz of fire balls. They impacted into the small village. Bulidings blew to pieces, explosions shook the ground. Adam ran faster, the fire balls missed his house. He still had hope. Another scream went overhead. He didn't bother to look up. He still ran at his top speed. His lungs felt like they were about to burst. He felt like he was about to puke. The house was about thirty meters away. He ran faster. Fire balls rained down upon the village once again. Twenty meters to go.
An echoing scream that nearly burst Adam's eardrums rang loudly. A huge fir ball, three times the size of the others crashed down upon his house. He stopped and fell to his knees. Tears rolled down his face as the house was crushed. It exploded, wood flew everywhere. He yelled for his father. Only dead silence answered him. Fire around him crackled. He layed on the ground, crying. Wishing he could've saved his father.

Tai ran over to Delian and burst out, "Dell - we can't find any traces of the Phantoms or Jarred, Adam and Beth - they all just vanished! I have a feeling that they are all together somewhere - The three of our friends and all of those Phantoms... whether our friends know it or not...
What are we going to do? They could never fight off all of those Phantoms on their own - could they? And we can't even help them because, well, no one even knows where the Phantoms and that evil person they call 'Jesse' live!"
Delian just looked off at the hills with a sad smile and replied, "You never know."

(Adam here)
Adam awoke with a splitting headache and aching body. It was nearly sundown. It was a bluish color in his cell. The color made him forget about himself and think about his friends.
'Are they okay? Did anyone die?' He thought to himself.
He heard someone moving outside his cell window. He slowly stood and winced in pain, his body hurt. It felt like he had been beaten with metal bats, but there were no bruises. He walked to the window and grabbed the bars. He pulled himself up and planted his foot against the wall. He looked through the barred window and saw a mystical creature he hadn't seen since he was six. It was a fairy... a pink fairy. Pink fairies were very rare and had unlimited magic. Though ill tempered, they were always an excellent help to the person who owned it.
Adam chanted a few words. The fairy stopped what it was doing and looked at him. It began to speak in Albion. Hearing this Adam was astonished. He had never heard a fairy speak Albion. Adam replied in a low voice, "Quesh atsay nequi."
The fairy darted around and replied in a voice that sounded like a smooth, calm, flowing river,
"Nee anu, amnie."
Adam had no idea what she said. He said, "Quesh, elminue jenn-wui estar anye Albion."
He had said, 'I don't understand to much Albion.'
"I don't speak it much, either." The fairy replied.
Adam was really amazed now, the fairy could speak Albion and English.
"It's rare that you are here... I mean... that you even exist anymore." Adam said sadly.
"There are hundreds of us... we live... No, I can't tell you outloud. He'll hear me and he'll wipe us out." the Fairy said a little frightened.
"Who? Jesse, the Phantom Lord? He isn't very smart." Adam said sarcastically.
"No... he is a genuis. He built this whole prison and he is the one who put the shield barriers around it. He can hear so many things. He is everywhere, If he finds where we are he will wipe us from the face of the earth." The Fairy replied.
"Wait... what's your name?" Adam asked hurriedly.
"It's Empa... what's yours?" Empa asked.
"It's... Adam." He replied quietly.
"You... you are... a... a Phantom Hunter... aren't you?" Empa asked enthusiasticly.
"Yeah... unfortunately, I'm trapped here." Adam replied with a little grief in his voice.
"I can... I can help you get out," Empa said quietly.
"How?" Adam asked intrested.
"I'll be out here and you cast the teleportation spell. When you do I'll chant my spell as well." Empa replied.
"Wait... what spell are you going to chant?" Adam asked,
"Lions breath." Empa said softly.
"Lions breath? I've never heard of it. What does it do?" It enables a fairy of the spell caster to help a certain amount of people or person out. It is a spell that we fairies created. It really works." Empa said happily.
"How many people can it help?" Adam asked as he looked towards the door.
"The maximum is four, why? Is there more of you Phantom Hunters?" Empa asked.
"Yeah... there is three of us." Adam replied shamefully knowing that all of this was his fault.
"Okay... tell them to cast the teleportion spell... The thing is that you have to cast it all at the came time." Empa said as she finished with a heavy sigh.
"I'll be back, wait here." Adam said as he dropped from the window.
He crawled to the door and looked under it.
"Beth, beth you awake?" Adam said in his normal voice.
"Adam... is that you?" Beth replied.
"Yeah it's me. Listen I need you to do me a big favor. Okay?" Adam asked happily.
"Okay... sure, whatever. But--" Beth said softly.
"That's great..." Adam interupted, "I need you to cast the manipulaion of teleportation spell.
"Adam, listen to me... I can't," She stuttered, "I...I can't...I can't...I can't see anything."
Adam shook his head in disbelief and looked down. A strong sensation went through his body. He didn't want to believe what he had just heard.
"You can still cast the spell right?" Adam asked.
"Yeah... I think so... I'll give it a try... Just tell me when." Beth replied.
Adam went back to the window and said, "Okay I'll tell you when."
"I'm ready," Empa replied.
Beth slowly stood. Not knowing where she was. She flet the wall and stuck her hands in the air. He brought them down slowly and chanted the spell. She finished by planting her right palm on the floor.
"Now!" Adam yelled as he heard Beth touch the floor.
Empa spun around and said, "Es quellia cest nous Lions Breath."
A bright light illuminated the three Phantom Hunters and they appeared outside. Each of them lay on the ground eyes wide open.


(still Adam)
Adam lay on his back... he stared straight up into the sky. He couldn't breath for a few seconds. Then he gasped... fresh air rushed into his lungs and filled him up. He sat up and coughed a couple times. He blinked repeatedly to stop seeing a bright light.
Empa darted around saying, "I forgot to tell you to close your eye's."
"Doesn't matter," Adam replied as he tried to stand. He felt a little nautious. He fell back to the ground as everything began to spin. Adam tried to stand again.
Empa pushed him down and said, "You're gonna kill yourself, knock it off!"
Adam sat back on the cold ground and slightly rocked his body back and forth. He fell onto his back and layed there staring into the sky once again.
"Adam!" Beth said excitedly, "I... I can see you!"
Jarred sat up and stood, he had no problem. He walked around and looked at the fairy. He was very puzzled. He reached out to touch Empa. Empa shreiked and hid behind a tree.
"No, I must not be touched by a human." She yelled.
"Okay...." Jarred replied, "That was awkward."
Beth stood with no problem as well. She walked towards Adam and extended her arm. Adam tried reaching out, he couldn't. He falt heavy, he couldn't move his fingers. A purple barrier appeared around Adam. Empa screamed loudly as she recognized it. It was the barrier... to a blue fairy.
She yelled, "Run! If they catch you, there's nothing I can do!"
Beth looked Adam, Adam mouthed, 'GO!'
Beth turned and grabbed Jarred. She pulled him and followed Empa into the woods. Adam lay on his side, Beth and Jarred disappeared into the woods.
"I'll be alright... Don't worry about me." Adam said to Beth and Jarred.

Beth slowed down as she got the message. She turned and said to Jarred, "Keep going, I'm going to help Adam."
"He said, 'He's alright!'. We need to keep going, Beth." Jarred said as he looked into her eye's.
"I don't care. I'm going to help him." Beth said as she ran back to Adam's position.
She ran through the last part of the woods. She came out to see Adam surrounded by light blue fairies.
She had no weapon, her magic was drained due to the casting of the manipulation of teleportaion. She had no idea what she was going to do.
Adam looked at her and said, "No..."
The fairies turned and giggled a very sinister giggle. They flew to Beth and flew around her.
The barrier shield around Adam disappeared. He stood and ran to Beth. The fairies flew faster. Beth screamed. Adam jumped and grabbed her hand. She disappeared.
Adam lay on the gound, he held tight... onto air.


~dell here~ jst a second... I have to go find out where I left off ;-).
Suddenly there was an exclamation from Rachael. "Guys I'm getting Jarred's and Adam's signal!" Dell and Chris jumped from their chairs to look and see if what Rachael was saying was true. There was an exclamation from both as they saw their brother's signal on the small screen. Alex put his head in his hands.
"She's right!" Chris exclaimed "Can we contact them?" Rachael tried contacting them but there was no answer.
"No...there isn't any currency where they are or they've lost their communicater controlers." Rachael replied shaking her head.
"And.. what...what about Beth?" Stuttered Dell. Rachael just shook her head. Dell looked over at Alex... he still sat there with his head in his hands.
"She's still alive and if any one else tells me otherwise I refuse to believe them!" She exclaimed and stormed away trying to get her frusteration out by walking if off.
"Should someone go get her?" Tai asked. Chris shook his head.
"No... she just needs to be alone for a few. She doesn't want to get mad at anyone right now." He stopped then said one of Jarred's lines that he would say when he would go and follow Dell to make sure she was alright, "I'll make sure she doesn't run into a tree or anything." Jarred always took on the responsibility of watching out after Dell... now he wasn't here.
"Don't go outside the village." Tai said, Chris nodded a little sullenly... he wished Jarred was still here... he could always make it so Dell came back with a smile.
"Are you sure you don't want me to go?" Rachael asked. Chris sighed.
"No I'm not sure...but I'll go anyway."

Dell kicked at the dirt as she kept walking... she didn't care where or how far she just needed to get away from everyone so she didn't get mad at them. And she didn't want anyone to see her cry and she hated the fact that she cried one too many times. Her tears blurred her vision but she refused to let them spill over. She reached the end of the village and she stopped, not fully knowing why. She leaned up against a small building that was a few feet away... a small breeze fluttered by making the tears which by now had spilled over grow cold on her cheeks. She did an underbite and took a deep breath... Beth had to be alive... and they had to come back. So many hadn't... and so many times she hadn't been able to do anything...and she hated that! She hated the fact she couldn't do anything but wait! Her tears spilled over as she poured out her anger frusteration and sadness.
Suddenly she heard someone behind her... she sighed. She didn't want to get mad at anyone and the only one that knew how to make her un-mad very easily was Jarred...and he wasn't here. She didn't turn around and pretended to ignore the fact she knew someone was there.
"You're right ya know... about Beth still being alive." It was Chris. Dell didn't make a move to wipe away her tears as she turned.
"Tell me something I don't know." She said sarcastically. Chris looked away, he wasn't used to seeing his partner crying. They hadn't been partners for very long (about a year) and he had only seen her cry once and that was from a distance and in the middle of a battle when her former partner Jason had died.
"Alright... I came out here to make sure you didn't run into a tree or anything." Dell actually looked surprised then with one quick move she punched him directly in the face. "Ow!" Chris doubled over as he held his face.
"Don't ever take my brother's lines again." Dell walked away into the woods. Chris groaned... he had screwed up bad.
"Dell!" Chris yelled. "You can't go past the village."
"Yeah, tell me something I don't know." Suddenly she wasn't there, Chris knew she had gone invisible.
He walked back to where everyone was a little sheepishly, there was already a huge bruise underneath his eye and he thought that his noise might be bleeding. Right before he went into the small hut Tai came out, she giggled when she saw him.
"Oh man... she got you good. Good advice for next time... tell her to punch you and she won't." Chris grinned even though he didn't feel like it.
"Can I have something cold to put on this and could you tell someone to go get Dell? She went into the woods." Tai nodded.
"Is she invisible?" Chris nodded. Tai sighed.
"I'll get someone who knows how to look for an invisible person. Come on let's get something on that." They both walked back in the hut.
"Joey, you and me probably should go get Dell... she's invisible out in the woods somewhere, Ben, go get something cold to put on Chris' face... Dell punched him good." Alex laughed.
"Yo man, careful, Jason got punched more times then you can count in the five years that he was partners with Dell."
"Thank's man. You're a hoot."

Jarred started running towards Beth in an effort to stop her, Jarred froze as he saw Beth get surrounded by the fairies, Adam reached out to grab her but she disappeared along with the fairies. Jarred dropped down to his knees, Empa ran over to Jarred she was very frightened. “We need to leave now, or the fairies will come and take you to.” Jarred looked up into the fairies eyes, “We appreciate you getting us out of the cell but we can not go with you.” Empa looked at Jarred one more time and then walked away. Jarred got up and ran over to Adam, “Adam are you okay?” Jarred reached out his hand and he helped Adam to his feet. The two didn’t say anything for a while but just stared off into the distance. “What will Jesse do to her?” Jarred asked, Adam’s didn’t answer for a minute until he said. “I don’t know.” Adam still was staring off into the distance, a tear dropped down Jarred’s face he knew it couldn’t be good. “Adam can you please tell me all you know about the Phantoms and Jesse?” Adam looked at Jarred, “There isn’t enough time right now.” Adam sat down. “What do you mean?” Adam looked up at Jarred. “I’m going after her.” Adam stood up again and started walking north where Jesse is. “Then I’m going with you.” Adam started chanting words to a spell. “I know you are the Lone Hunter but you will need my help, you can’t fight all the phantoms alone.” Adam finished his spell; he picked up off the ground a sword which he had formed. “Jarred I couldn’t see you die.” Adam said as he put the sword behind his back. “Adam I have already been parted from one of my comrades not to mention all the others ones; I wouldn’t want to leave another.” Adam started chanting another spell, when it was finished he handed a sword to Jarred. “We must be quick and alert.” Adam said as Jarred and him ran off into what might be their doom.

~Tai~

The door slamming behind them sounded hollower - more foreboding than usual. Tai looked up at Joey with one eyebrow raised and questioned, "Well - where do we start?" Joey smirked, "Well, from what Chris said - and how he looked..." both Tai and Joey chuckled, "She was pretty upset. Knowing Dell, she probably went either to the top of Dune Hill or she went wandering in that forest over there... maybe even down to the river... maybe we should split up - you know - to make things go faster." Tai looked worried, "Is is... safe to split up?" "I'm not really sure, but if we want to find her before dark, we probably should." Tai nodded, "Yeah... I guess. I'll take the hill - you can go through the forest and we can meet at the river BEFORE it gets dark - even if we haven't found her yet." Joey agreed, so the started out looking for Dell.

Dell looked up at the blue sky as she let the tears flow freely down her face. Why did everything have to be this way? She didn't want to loose any more of her friends - or her brother. Where was he anyway? She needed someone who would comfort her - and listen to her heart... without trying to make her laugh as only her brother could... she smiled just a little as she thought of herself punching Chris - she knew he had good intentions... but she was aching inside! It seemed no one could understand that.
"Dell - are you out here? If you are, please don't run away - everyone is worried about you!" Tai yelled. Dell looked up - she knew that voice - Tai! What was she doing out here?
Tai spotted a shadow and a faint outline sitting on the flat rock that rested on the top of Dune Hill, yup - that was Dell alright. Tai walked over aand sat down on the rock. "Dell..." she started, "Chris is really sorry (in more ways than one) for causing you to get - well - riled... but I have a feeling that it wasn't really just him taking Jarred's lines that made you want to punch him... was it? Dell, 'cmon - can you become visible again - it's awfully lonely talking to a shadow and an outline of someone you care about." Dell sighed, what was the use of staying invisible anymore. She reappeared, tears still rolling down her face, "I don't want to lose any more..." she sobbed. "Dell, it's ok to cry for our friends, but really we don't need to - and whenever you sob around the hut, it makes everyone else gloomy too! God has his eyes on Adam and Beth and Jarred - even Jeremy... it was just his time to go - and of course you know he went to a much better place - with no Phantoms! God has our friends - and us - in the palm of his hand - just remember that - and it doesn't matter where they go, they will still be in God's care." Dell looked a Tai, tears still in the corner of her eyes, but a small smile was creeping across her face. She whispered, "Thanks Tai. I often loose sight of that image of God holding us in his hand..." she whispered lower, "...wherever we go...". Dell gave Tai a big hug and sniffed a little, before Tai remembered, "Oh, Dell, we have to meet Joey at the river before it gets dark (he was looking for you too) - we'd better hurry!" "You guys split up to look for me?!" Dell exclaimed, "That is dangerous!" Tai nuged her, "Not any more dangerous than it was for you to come out here all alone - invisible or not!"

(Sorry to put words in your mouth, Dell - you can change them if you want to. - lol)

"Wait!!" Empa yelled, "Can I come with you guys?"
Jarred looked at Adam, Adam gave a slight nod to Jarred.
"Yeah, come one." Jarred replied.
They ran for what seemed miles. Empa froze a couple times along the way and told them to stop. Everytime it was nothing. Everytime she thought she heard something.
Adam slowed down and rested a couple seconds. His lungs burned everytime he took in a deep breath.

~dell here~
Dell and Tai walked down the small slope towards to where Joey would be waiting for them. Tai slightly led the way since she knew exactly where they were supposed to go and since Dell was still having somewhat of an emotional breakdown. Twice Dell almost tripped and fell, she silently blamed her dumb blondeness and picked herself back up. Suddenly there was a rustling behind them. Dell immediately turned invisible and Tai became transparent. Dell's heart was beating so hard she was afraid someone may be able to hear.
"Tai?" It was Joey... but something still seemed wrong, Dell remained invisible, Tai however went to normal.
"Yeah, I'm here, so is Dell." Joey nodded as he came out into the small opening of where they were standing. Dell slowly became visible again... she still felt like something was wrong. Joey was about to say something else, Dell put her finger to her mouth to tell them both to be quiet.
"Ssshhh... hide." She whispered intenstly, the old Dell who always appeared to have everything under control was back. Tai became transparent, Dell became invisible, Joey quickly darted under cover. Suddenly there was a dark shadow that hovered over them. Dell shivered violently and quickly darted a look over to her two comrads to make sure they were ok. However before she could even think of what they should do the shadow passed.
"Joey, Tai, stick together, you two go back to the hut in a different way then you came! Stay under cover and get there as quickly and safely as possible!" Dell whispered hoarsly staying invisible. Both hesitated, but in the end they did just what she said. Dell watched them leave quickly on a different path then the way they came. Dell looked up again, she couldn't see the shadow, but somehow, she felt like it was still there. She headed back up the hill to where she had been. She was going to find out what it was.
She had gone only a few steps when she heard a rustling in the bushes next to her. She was still invisible, but she hid behind a tree anyway. She saw a shadow dart from a tree to another. The dusk creeping along the tree line made it seem way creepier then it should have. Dell held her breathe as she waited patiently, yet her heart kept beeting rapidly. Suddenly the rustling stopped, she looked up and around to see if she could see anyone. Nothing was there. But, something or someone was behind her, she grabbed her gun and slowly grasped it so that she could easily turn on whoever or whatever was behind her. She whirled around. Nothing. A voice came from behind her.
"Put your gun down and slowly walk away." Dell's heart was racing, she didn't regongize the voice, she gritted her teeth and she slowly dropped her weapon. However as soon as she took three steps away she grabbed her other gun and turned. Nothing was there, she panicked and quickly began spinning around looking everywhere. Suddenly she felt a small prick of a knife up to her neck.
"Drop your gun."

This is Adam
(finishing what I started)
Adam stopped breathing.... the bushels rustled. Adam looked around. He getting paranoid, just like Empa.
Jarred walked around. He stepped on a twig, it cracked. Empa flew into a bush and hid.
"Okay.... that was awkwared as well." Jarred said confused.
"You need to be careful while walking around these areas."Empa said as she came from the bush she was hiding.
A figure lurked in the bushes. Adam saw the bushes moving. He stopped and changed his vision. He saw nothing.
"Adam...." Jarred said slowly, "Adam? Adam!"
"Huh, what?" Adam replied as he stopped looking at the bush.
"Wow... you two are acting weird." Jarred said.
A twig craked and the bushes moved again. Jarred didn't notice them. He kept talking.
"Will you be quiet for two seconds...." Adam said harshly.
Another twig broke.
"Did you hear that?" Adam asked Jarred.
"Hear what?" Jarred said confused.
Adam looked around. Jarred began to speak again.
Something burst from the bush and attacked Jarred. Jarred was yelling and trying to get whatever it was off him.
The animal grabbed Jarred by the shirt and started to pull him into the woods.
Adam turned, everything felt like it was going so slow. He completely turned to see that Jarred was gone. The grass where he stood was crumpled and a path led into the woods.
He heard Jarred yelling. He ran forward. Then he stopped, he heard something growling behind him. He turned to see a pack of wolves. They bared their teeth and white foam formed at the corner of their mouth.
(G2G...class almost over)
(I'm back....this is during lunch)
Adam backed away slowly. They took a step forward. He slowly reached for his sword. A wolf barked, Adam stopped reaching and caste a time spell. The wolves froze. He turned and darted into the woods. Adam was counting. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10... 11... 12... 13... 14... 15...
The spell ended. He heard the wolves howl and then he heard them running after him. He ran through trying to dodge every branch, every tree, every bush. He didn't want to slow down hw didn't want to be a dinner to seven. He ran faster, he had a strong determination to find Jarred, rescue Beth and escape the the pack of starving wolves. Then he remembered that he could shape-shift. He didn't have enough time.
'Of course.... time!' He thought to himself.
He stopped and caste the same spell. Time froze once again, he started to transform, seven seconds passed. He fell to the ground and cried out in pain. The price to shape-shift to animals in great pain, thirteen seconds passed. His appearance started to change, fifteen seconds. the spell ended and he heard the wolves running again. He barked, it was complete. He stood still waiting, expecting the wolves to come. Ten seconds passed, they still didn't show.
(GOSH!!! class is about to end again!!!)

Adam waited.... nothing showed. Twenty-seven seconds past, still nothing. Then he felt a presence a faint one. One of them is that of an old friend and one of them was the presence of normal Phantoms. That caste any sort of spell.
Adam sighed a frightened sigh and looked around him.
Trees swayed, the wind howled. It brushed up against his body, it felt like he was being poked by needles all over. It began to sting, it began to hurt. It was becoming unbearable.

Adam looked around, waiting. The pain was growing, the tension was rising and he couldn't wait no longer. He howled, Phantoms screeched. He turned and ran as fast as he could, which was four times the speed as when he was a human. As he ran, a thunderstorm overhead started. Soon lightning flashed and the ground shook, the lightning was very near. He still ran as fast as he could. He heard the Phantoms, they were very near. As he ran he looked up to the sky, clouds started to form quickly. They were dark and black. He stopped as he came to a path that parted. Both paths looked dark. Then he heard the Phantoms behind him. They were emitting a low sinsister giggle. It rang through the woods. He ran to the left, the trees looked like they were reaching out trying to grab him. He still ran ignoring them, lightning flashed. It lighted the woods. He stopped, the lightning revealed that his path was blocked. He walked towards the blocked path and toched it with his nose. He pulled back. flesh ripped from his nose, he whimpered and rubbed his nose on the ground.
Phantoms laughed behind him. Seven lined up, lightning flashed. The trees started to freeze. Adam turned to the thorny area and ran thorugh.
(Class is about to end....this is lunch and PE is next!!!)

dell's back!
Dell slowly put her gun on the ground as she continued to breath hard. The pounding of her heart intensified as she felt the prick of the knife press a little harder into her neck as she stood back up.
"Don't move." Dell became stiff as she tried hard not to breath. "If you try and run away, trust me you will die." Dell felt like arguing (something she felt she was somewhat good at) but she refrained herself from doing so. She wasn't going to do anybody any good dead. Suddenly there was a small shield of some sort around her and the other person. Immediately they were transported somewhere else... all Dell could do was wait and see what was goign to happen.

Adam ran through the thorn bush. Flesh ripped from his body, he howled in pain. But it wasn't as worse as what normal Phantoms would do to him. He still ran through the brush. It hurt but he would do anything to escape Phantoms. Then he stopped, he heard Jarred cry out in pain. He wanted to help, he wanted to save him. But he was already in a tight situation. Adam tried moving again, he couldn't. He was stuck. He budged, the thorns dug into his skin. He howled and cried in agony, but it didn't do any good. It only gave away his position. He looked around, lightning flashed. He saw the Phantoms flying around the brush. He turned his head and howled, a thorn had ripped his eyelid. His vision went red in one eye. It burned with the upmost pain, he tried moving his hand to ease the pain. Thorns ripped though his tender flesh, small chunks of his flesh came off. He was burning all over, he cried and howled as his body began to sting. He needed help. Blood ran from his body like a sponge that couldn't hold anymore water. It seeped through his hair, his hair had turned from a light gray to dark red. He smelled like copper, the horrible smell of copper. He decided to teleport, but that would instantly end the transformation spell. He couldn't bear the pain of thorns ripping his flesh. He cried out the words to the spell. He teleported. He appeared under some bushes. He started to change back. His clothes grew back, his body returned to normal. The wounds instantly healed, but they left scars. His skin was chapped with dry blood. Gapped wounds filled in and his sword lay beside him as he looked up in the sky. Storm clouds rolled over, looking like cotton balls. There he fell asleep, there he dreamed.
